I started using a digital camera about 8 years ago. I was shooting both film and digital but soon found I couldn't manipulate a negative like I could a digital image. I was quickly sold on digital photography. I used my digital camera more and more and my film camera less and less. Digital cameras kept getting better and I would buy a new camera every 6-8 months. Finally Nikon came out with the D series cameras and I've stayed with those cameras ever since. I have also found in digital photography that the printer is just as important as the camera. I have been using the Epson printers for the past several years and I upgrade my printer every 8-12 months to ensure I'm getting the best quality prints.

Digital photography changes so quickly it's difficult to keep current. But it's crucial to keep upgrading or you won't get the best images possible. I will never go back to

film. After 50 years as the Broadmoor Hotel photographer, and shooting film I can finally retouch a photograph to make it better without it being obvious.

Good shooting-
