Working with the University of Nebraska has allowed me the opportunity to capture fly over shots at Memorial Stadium on game days. My most recent "Stealth" print features a United States B-2  Stealth Bomber making a low level pass at the conclusion of The National Anthem. I have about a two second window to be in just the right spot over the stadium when the fly over aircraft pass underneath. Taken on November 8, 2008 over Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska from an altitude of 3,500'. The United States Air Force B-2 Stealth Bomber conducted a fly over at 2,500' at the conclusion of the National Anthem, just prior to kickoff. Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Kansas Jayhawks. Images was shot with a Nikon D2Xs, Nikon 28-70  at 34mm, shutter priority (1/640), ISO 400, f/5.6.

A pilot since 1973 and with no formal photography training except through osmosis with my wife Carol working in a color lab for years,  my career began by shooting aerial photos of our acreage from a rental aircraft. From there things progressed to taking images of neighboring properties and occasional commercial properties on a part time basis. Then some time in the early 90's I joined the  Professional Aerial Photographers Association (PAPA) and soon after decided to jump in with both feet. Establishing a business name, acquiring new equipment:  camera, lenses, laptop, Photoshop software,  printer, web site, etc. I continued to operate part time until 2004 when my full time employer shut their doors. Then, out of necessity  (or desperation) I decided to give it a chance full time and have  never looked back. In March of 2004 we purchased our first aircraft, a 1974 Cessna 150L.

Almost all my work is from aircraft with some occasional architectural ground / interior work for aerial clients. I've recently expanded into aerial video to diversify my services. Other work includes aerial photos of businesses, construction progress, legal (i.e. accident scenes, property disputes), events, developments, farms / acreages, and vertical photography for developers.
