Mark Scheffer has been pursuing his interest in photography since childhood, most seriously since 2001. His images have won him several awards, including the "Emerging Landscape Photographer of 2004" Honorable mention Lucie Award by the International Photographer Association, and the Shutterbug Magazine Top Award for Panoramic Landscape Images in August 2005.

Mark utilizes the latest in digital photographic technology, though he is equally comfortable shooting film. He enjoys the process of creating his images from start to finish: traveling to the location, anticipating the light and weather, planning and capturing new images with fresh eyes each season, editing and printing archival quality prints, and sharing the beauty and excitement of the outdoors with others.

His passion is to capture the beauty of nature, to remind us of the importance of protecting and cherishing beautiful landscapes for generations to come. Mark recognizes that life is precious, and a moment to moment awareness of our surroundings is critical to enjoying life to the fullest.
