Fred Yake began working in photography after graduating high school, working in the darkroom then shooting portraits and commercial photography. Later on he worked as a photographer for a large resort hotel in the Caribbean and then for a company shooting nature photography in Australia. As a young man he made his first around-the-world trip, taking a year to visit and shoot images in over 25 countries. Fred celebrates 30 years of business in Las Vegas, specializing in convention photography. All of his work is now shot digitally. Fred’s passion is panoramic photography. He has been involved in shooting panoramic photos for clients for over 35 years, starting with a #10 cirkut, gradually switching to newer electronic panoramic cameras. Fred continues to travel extensively, having visited over 65 countries. He still uses a panoramic camera but many of his images are now shot digitally and stitched to produce a panorama. For the last two years, with the technology now available, Fred has been scanning and cataloging 1000’s of images for his portfolio. Fred feels he has only scratched the surface of digital photography and still has a great deal more to learn. Member of: Professional Photographers of America - Life Member Intl.
